What You Should Know About The God of Resurrection

“Word!” “Testify!” “Amen and amen!” Shouts of praise ushered me back to my childhood roots as we joined hundreds of people in New York City yesterday and celebrated The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Hearing, Feeling and Tasting the Cross

We worshipped through a dramatic presentation of the last week of Christ’s earthly life–a presentation so poignant I could almost hear the ripping of the veil in the temple, feel my chest cavity fight to keep from suffocating, and taste the blood that dripped from that thorn-crowned brow.

And as scandalous as the death of Christ was, His resurrection was that much more magnificent. The grave could not hold Him anymore than a womb can hold that baby whom God summons to the light with that last feverish push.

The God of Resurrection

But know this about The God of Resurrection, and shout it from the rooftop: You don’t have to be dead and in a grave for God to lift you up. Sometimes He resurrects the living!

This God of Resurrection lifts up the distraught, slave-wife, Hagar, as she cries out to Him on the run, lifts up a drunken-looking Hannah as she begs Him for a child, lifts up a perpetually bleeding woman in a culture that calls moderately bleeding women unclean, and in each case, He gives the woman courage to do what she would never ordinarily do.

Hagar returns to an abusive living situation, Hannah gets the baby she prays for, then gives him away to someone else to raise, and the untouchable, bleeding woman touches the hem of Jesus’ robe to be made well.

To you who know The God of Resurrection–If Jesus Christ has paid your ransom why do you insist on slavery? He has opened your shackles with the only key that fits, and he has called you to shake off those chains.

Be free!

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”  John 8:36

  1. “Sometimes he resurrects the living” – what a profound statement – what an awesome reminder!

La multi ani cu mare inrriziete. (dar precis n-ai mai primit urari de aproape o luna, deci…) :)Dar cum zici ca esti Virgo daca ‘azi’ (9 august) a fost ziua ta???

      2. as I recall, it is the J30 pad. I’m pretty sure there are markings along the X/Y axes that show you what row/column you’re at. As to the pressure applied to the tape..since the piece of tape is tiny, you’ll need a tweezers to place it on the correct pad. After you get the piece of tape centered over the pad, tamp it down lightly just so that the adhesive sticks. This helps to make sure it won’t come off when you place the heat sink back on.

      3. Ad Michal BobekK německé posedlosti pojmy a definicemi.

  2. Oh Vix, it looks like you had an amazing time, as usual! I love the outfit with the bright big spots and pink and orange socks – what a total babe you are. So glad you had fun despite the mud (Isn't that part of the fun?!!). What is the next festival that you're off to?Xooxoxoxoxox
