If I Were Satan: How I would trip up Christians at their own game

If I were Satan and I wanted to make Christians act more like me than like Christ, here’s what I would do:

I’d get them to believe their God was weak and in need of their help to look good.

I would distract them from the real issues of life which demand the fervent prayer of the righteous by getting them to care more about reality TV than reality.

I’d get them to ignore what Jesus said about loving your neighbor as yourself by making them think real brotherhood is defined by bandwagon-jumping.

I’d make them forget where they came from.

I would convince them that shame and disrespect, my favorite vices, were sure-fire ways to showcase the love, grace, and forgiveness of God.

I’d cause them to feel more secure in their Christianity by turning away/turning off others.

I would make them feel good about returning evil for evil.

I would confuse them about what they had to do with securing their own salvation.

How easily he deceives us . . . truly a lion, seeking to devour.
