When God moves, He moves. And I’m so very grateful for that–a little stuck, perhaps, but grateful just the same.
Every woman in Scripture I’ve ever spoken about eventually comes to a point where her faith requires her to do what she would never normally do. Each time, the woman does the impossible thing because she knows the severity of God’s grace and mercy working together in her favor means impossible things would actually happen. She looks ahead to her epilogue, that time when God ties all the loose ends together and gives her a fresh perspective.
Simple, I know, yet profound.
THAT is the true grit of faith and that is what these seven months of 2021 have been for me. A little while ago, a good friend reminded me that we had both experienced what we feared most (a severe loss for her and a severe find for me) and we had both survived.
I thought I would feel victorious right away, but I didn’t. I felt (and still feel) like the Olympian interviewed a minute and a half after swimming the 400 IM to gold-medal fame: breathless, soaking wet, and stunned.
The question now is: What will we do as a result of all this?
I know some of you are experiencing something similar. Remember that HE knows and YOU are part of HIS larger plan. Instead of getting stuck in the hard parts of our stories, let’s choose to live in our epilogues–not only in waiting for them to unfold, but in knowing that they will…
